Ultimate Entertainment started in 1991 and has never stopped growing, learning, and building on every amazing wedding, school dance, bar event, or private party.  Their goal, and now ours too, is to make YOUR plans, YOUR thoughts, YOUR ideas, and YOUR dreams a reality for YOUR special day!

As with Ultimate Entertainment our only focus is making your big day as perfect and stress free as possible.  Our full-time staff is here to answer your calls, texts, or emails every day. 

You can even stop by our offices in Des Moines or Cedar Falls to get your questions answered.

Our DJ Services

We are here to take the stress out of planning your event.  We’ll work with you to figure out the right music to play for your event.  If you’ve got a specific sone you want to be played, we’ll make sure it’s played when you want.

But the music is just one part of what we do for you.  Our services include our support for you really every part of your event.  We’re going to coordinate with your venue, your catering, your photographer and videographer, your event planner – really ALL of your “key” wedding professionals to ensure the only thing you need to worry about is showing up and having an amazing night!

We will walk you through every step of your planning.  Some of our clients what it simple – we had one client tell us she wanted us to “show up, shut up, and play music!”  And that’s what we did!  Other clients want much more – help with timing, order of events, emceeing, announcements and music suggestions and much more.  We do that too!

We provide you with access to your own online planning center where you have as much control over your day as you want.  Our focus is to make sure you have the kind of event where nearly EVERYONE dances, not just a “select few”!

Wedding Ceremonies and Receptions

Your wedding day is a very special day that you will want to remember for all the right reasons.  But nothing will taint those memories more than a lackluster DJ.  Your DJ can literally make or break your big night!

When you work with Smiling Dog Entertainment we have one simple rule, “What the couple wants, the couple gets!”

This is YOUR night.  Likely your FIRST big event in your new lives together.  When you are working with Smiling Dog Entertainment the only thing you are going to need on your big day is to show up!

We will walk with you every step of the way in your planning process.  From your very first call or email, our dedicated staff is here to answer all of your questions, to help make YOUR vision, for YOUR day exactly the way YOU want it!

When you combine our vision for carrying out your vision for you special day with over 35 years, 10,000 plus weddings, and a professionally trained staff who’s sole focus is making your big night everything you want it to be we know you’re going to have an incredible day!

Oh….and one more “little” thing………

We DO NOT CHARGE EXTRA FOR YOUR CEREMONY!

Why would a DJ charge extra for providing sound and music for your ceremony, when they will be doing the EXACT same thing for your reception? 

Our pricing model is simple – you pay for the amount of time you need our services!

School Dances, Private Parties, or "Hey we want a DJ!"

Our focus for these events is the same as with weddings – your company party, holiday party, homecoming, prom or after prom, fundraiser or any other event are just as important to you as a couple’s wedding is to them.

Pricing

We keep our pricing SIMPLE!

We do not have “packages”.  Many other DJ’s have various packages with progressivelly better and better quality equipment and services based on how much  you spend.

We think that’s wrong!

We would never “penalize” a client based on their budget.  

It doesn’t matter if you hire us for 4 hours or 40 hours – you will get the same high quality light show for your dance floor, professional sound system, wireless microphones, and a professionally trained DJ who is not only your “voice” for the day, but who will also be your reception coordinator making sure everything goes exactly as you have planned.

So many DJ’s these days are up-charging or up-selling for services we regularly provide all our clients.

They want you to spend more on extra things like – extra lights, microphones, speakers, announcements, and your ceremony.

That’s insane and NOT the way WE operate!

Our pricing is simply based on the amount of total time you need.

For example, if your ceremony and reception are all in the same location we recommend having us ready to start 30 minutes prior to your ceremony (that’s when guests arrive) through the end of the night.  That way there is nice music playing before the ceremony.

This eliminates so much stress from y our day because each “moment” will naturally flow into the next.  For example, the ceremony flows into the social and cocktail hour, which flows into dinner and right into the dance – at YOUR PACE!

This way, you’ll never feel rushed for time and in need of keeping to a strict schedule.

If you just need us for the reception we recommend having us ready to start when your GUESTS will begin to arrive.  That way, there is nice music playing during the social/cocktail hour when they walk in.

This relieves the stress of trying to time your arrival with the start time of the music.
